𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

  

   

ॐ 

असतो मा सद्गमय। 

तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय। 

मृत्योर्मा अमृतं गमय।

ॐ शांतिः शांतिः शांतिः

𝔹𝕙𝕒𝕘𝕧𝕒𝕕𝕘𝕚𝕥𝕒

यथा प्रदीप्तं ज्वलनं पतङ्गा

विशन्ति नाशाय समृद्धवेगाः ।

तथैव नाशाय विशन्ति लोका-

स्तवापि वक्त्राणि समृद्धवेगाः ॥ ११.२९ ॥

Just as moths, rushing swiftly and irresistibly, enter into a blazing fire for their own destruction, so too do these worlds (warriors and beings), with great speed, enter into Your fiery mouths for their destruction.

• The moth symbolizes the deluded individual.
• The blazing fire represents the irresistible power of Time (Kāla).
• The rushing movement signifies the inevitability of destiny.
• All beings, knowingly or unknowingly, move toward dissolution in the cosmic order.

This verse powerfully conveys that destruction is not accidental but part of the divine cosmic process. Just as moths are drawn helplessly to flame, all beings are drawn toward their destined end under the governance of Time, which is none other than the Lord Himself.

Human ego imagines control, but the cosmic law moves everything toward its ordained conclusion. Recognizing this dissolves pride and awakens surrender.

In Essence:

• Forms arise and dissolve in Time, but the substratum — Brahman remains untouched.
• Destruction belongs to names and forms, not to the Absolute.

𝕍𝕚𝕧𝕖𝕜𝕒𝕔𝕙𝕦𝕕𝕒𝕞𝕒𝕟𝕚

भ्रान्तिकल्पितजगत्कलाश्रयं
स्वाश्रयं च सदसद्विलक्षणम् ।
निष्कलं निरुपमानवद्धि यद्
ब्रह्म तत्त्वमसि भावयात्मनि ॥257

That which is the substratum of the universe with its various subdivisions, which are all creations of delusion; which Itself has no other support; which is distinct from the gross and subtle; which has no parts, and has verily no exemplar – that Brahman art thou, meditate on this in thy mind.

The world that we experience is projected by ignorance (भ्रान्ति), just as a snake is imagined on a rope. Yet this projected universe requires a substratum (आश्रय) upon which it appears. That substratum is Brahman.

Brahman:

• Is the support of the illusory universe, yet untouched by it.
• Is self-existent — it depends on nothing else.
• Is beyond the dual categories of sat (cause) and asat (effect) — transcending all conceptual distinctions.
• Is partless (निष्कलम्) — not composed of components.
• Is incomparable (निरुपमानम्) — nothing else exists like it.
• That Brahman — the silent, indivisible, self-luminous Reality — is your own true nature.
