Saรฑjaya said:
Having heard these words of Keลava, Arjuna—the crowned one—trembling, with folded hands, bowed down to Kแนแนฃแนa. Overwhelmed with fear, he again spoke in a faltering voice, offering prostrations.
Saรฑjaya narrates that after hearing Lord Kแนแนฃแนa’s decisive words in the midst of the cosmic vision, Arjuna was deeply shaken. Trembling, with palms joined in reverence, he bowed before the Lord. Filled with awe and fear, he began to speak, his voice choked with emotion.
This verse portrays Arjuna’s profound inner transformation. The heroic warrior who once spoke confidently now stands humbled before the infinite majesty of the Divine.
His trembling and faltering speech signify:
The dissolution of ego in the presence of the Absolute.
Awe before the boundless cosmic power.
The transition from intellectual dialogue to total surrender.
The “fear” here is not ordinary fear, but sacred awe — the overwhelming realization of the Supreme Reality. It marks the beginning of deeper devotion and complete submission to the Divine Will.

เคธเคค्เคฏเคिเคค्เคธुเคเคฎเคจเคจ्เคคเคฎเคต्เคฏเคฏं
เคฌ्เคฐเคน्เคฎ เคคเคค्เคค्เคตเคฎเคธि เคญाเคตเคฏाเคค्เคฎเคจि ॥ เฅจเฅฌเฅฉ ॥
That beyond which there is nothing; which shines even above Mฤyฤ, which again is superior to its effect, the universe; the innermost Self of all, free from differentiation; the Real Self, the Existence-Knowledge-Bliss Absolute; infinite and immutable – that Brahman art thou, meditate on this in thy mind.
That Reality which shines by itself, beyond all causes and effects, beyond even the highest;which is the innermost Self, of one homogeneous essence; which is Sat–Chit–ฤnanda (Existence–Consciousness–Bliss), infinite and undecaying—That Brahman thou art. Contemplate this within yourself.

เคจเคชเคฐं เคชเคฐाเคค्เคชเคฐเคฎ् – Beyond everything, even beyond the highest conceived reality.
เคช्เคฐเคค्เคฏเค् เคเคเคฐเคธเคฎ् – The inner Self, undivided and homogeneous, without parts or distinctions.
เคธเคค्เคฏ–เคिเคค्–เคธुเคเคฎ् – Pure existence, pure consciousness, pure bliss.

เคต्เคฏเคฏเคฎ् – Infinite and imperishable.
เคคเคค्เคค्เคตเคฎเคธि – You are That.
The verse urges not intellectual understanding alone, but nididhyฤsana — deep contemplation:
See that your true nature is not the body–mind complex, but that changeless, self-luminous Brahman.
