Brahman is that which cannot be rejected nor accepted, which is beyond the reach of mind and speech, which is immeasurable, without beginning or end, that infinite, all-pervading Radiance—that Brahman, the Supreme Light, I am.
This ลloka is a direct statement of Advaitic realisation, echoing the voice of the Upaniแนฃads rather than the language of philosophy.
เค
เคนेเคฏเคฎ् (not to be discarded) – Brahman is not an object that can be negated or removed. It is ever-present as one’s own Self.
เค
เคจुเคชाเคฆेเคฏเคฎ् (not to be attained) – Liberation is not an acquisition; Brahman is already what we are. Nothing new is gained—only ignorance is removed.
เคฎเคจोเคตाเคाเคฎเคोเคเคฐเคฎ् – Brahman lies beyond the domain of thought and speech; it can be known only by direct recognition, not conceptualisation.
เค
เคช्เคฐเคฎेเคฏเคฎ् – It cannot be measured, compared, or objectified; all measures arise within it.
เค
เคจाเคฆ्เคฏเคจ्เคคเคฎ् – Free from origin and termination, untouched by time.
เคชूเคฐ्เคฃเคฎ् – Absolutely complete; nothing can be added, nothing can be subtracted.
เค
เคนं เคฎเคนः – “I am that Supreme Light.” This is not ego-speech, but the dissolution of ego in pure Consciousness.
Brahman is neither an object to renounce nor a goal to attain—it is the ever-evident Self.
Realisation is not a movement toward something distant,
but a quiet recognition of what has always been shining as I.
In this vision, striving ceases, seeking ends, and what remains is self-luminous, limitless Being-Consciousness-Bliss.
