If a thousand suns were to rise simultaneously in the sky, that radiance might resemble the splendour of that Mahฤtman (the Supreme Being).

This verse is a poetic attempt to convey the inexpressible radiance of the Universal Form (Viล›varลซpa) of the Lord. Even the combined brilliance of a thousand suns is only an approximation, not an exact measure, of that divine effulgence.

Transcendence of sensory limits: Human perception depends on light, yet the Lord’s radiance is beyond all physical light. The comparison to “a thousand suns” is symbolic, meant to stretch the imagination to its breaking point.
Self-luminous Reality: This splendour is not borrowed or reflected; it is svayaแน-prakฤล›a—self-effulgent Consciousness.
Overwhelming majesty: Arjuna is confronted not merely with beauty, but with an awe-inspiring vision that dissolves ego, scale, and individuality.
Vedฤntic culmination: The verse hints that Brahman is not merely an object to be seen, but the very Light because of which all seeing is possible.
In essence, this ล›loka declares:
  • All cosmic brilliance is but a faint reflection of the Supreme Consciousness.
  • The Viล›varลซpa does not illumine the world; it is that by which the world is illumined.

Brahman is that which cannot be rejected nor accepted, which is beyond the reach of mind and speech, which is immeasurable, without beginning or end, that infinite, all-pervading Radiance—that Brahman, the Supreme Light, I am.

This ล›loka is a direct statement of Advaitic realisation, echoing the voice of the Upaniแนฃads rather than the language of philosophy.
เค…เคนेเคฏเคฎ् (not to be discarded) – Brahman is not an object that can be negated or removed. It is ever-present as one’s own Self.
เค…เคจुเคชाเคฆेเคฏเคฎ् (not to be attained) – Liberation is not an acquisition; Brahman is already what we are. Nothing new is gained—only ignorance is removed.
เคฎเคจोเคตाเคšाเคฎเค—ोเคšเคฐเคฎ् – Brahman lies beyond the domain of thought and speech; it can be known only by direct recognition, not conceptualisation.
เค…เคช्เคฐเคฎेเคฏเคฎ् – It cannot be measured, compared, or objectified; all measures arise within it.
เค…เคจाเคฆ्เคฏเคจ्เคคเคฎ् – Free from origin and termination, untouched by time.
เคชूเคฐ्เคฃเคฎ् – Absolutely complete; nothing can be added, nothing can be subtracted.
เค…เคนं เคฎเคนः – “I am that Supreme Light.” This is not ego-speech, but the dissolution of ego in pure Consciousness.

Brahman is neither an object to renounce nor a goal to attain—it is the ever-evident Self.
Realisation is not a movement toward something distant,
but a quiet recognition of what has always been shining as I.
In this vision, striving ceases, seeking ends, and what remains is self-luminous, limitless Being-Consciousness-Bliss.

HAVE A BRIGHT AND CHEERFUL DAY

When Integrity Takes a Back Seat: Leadership Fails. There was no operational need, no functional gap, yet the process moved with astonishing velocity and precision. What followed exposes not just procedural negligence, but a deeper ethical breakdown in leadership. The Incident — Step by Step 1. Unjustified Requirement:   Despite ample mobility resources, the CEO insisted on adding another car to his fleet. 2. Questionable Procurement Process:   The vehicle was leased through a single tender nomination.  On the same day:  STE was issued,  Offer was received,  Technical recommendation was finalized.  Within 48 hours, purchase/Contract order was placed — an efficiency seen only when ...

It is a brief but precious moment in the vast expanse of existence, meant for awakening to the truth of pure consciousness. Yet, the very instruments intended to illuminate this truth—the mind (manas), intellect (buddhi), and inner awareness (antahkarana)—are delicate and prone to distortion. Classical Indian philosophy identifies four fundamental defects that cloud understanding and perpetuate bondage: Bhrama (Delusion), Pramada (Heedlessness), Vipralipsa (Deceit), and Karnapaแนญava (Inattention in Hearing). These are not mere abstract concepts; they are living tendencies that shape perception, judgment, and moral orientation. To recognize and remove them is to polish the mirror of the mind, allowing it to reflect the effulgence of the Self (Atman). The...

๐—•๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ธ๐—ด๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ฑ: Pre-employment medical examinations are a vital safeguard in technically demanding industrial environments, ensuring that only medically fit candidates are inducted. These examinations are governed by detailed procedures designed to uphold transparency, accuracy, and professional integrity. Any deviation from these standards not only compromises the legitimacy of the recruitment process but also exposes the system to allegations of malpractice and weakens public trust. This case study concerns a complaint lodged by a selected candidate for the post of Operator-cum-Technician (OCT) in an integrated steel plant. The candidate alleged that he was declared “temporarily unfit” during the pre-employment medical examination because he refused to pay a bribe of Rs 1 lakh, demanded by the examining doctors. A vigilance inquiry into the Pre-employment Medical Examination Report, related documents, and statements of the medical personnel involved revealed several procedural ...
