Seventh Educational Workshop Organised for Orphaned and Underprivileged Children
With the message that moral education is the finest means of illuminating human life, the Seventh Educational Support Workshop was successfully organised at Kalyan Ashram in Baunshara village of Sambalpur district for children from orphaned and economically poor families. Eight students participated in today’s programme.
The primary objective of the workshop was to motivate children to pursue regular studies and, in particular, to create awareness among mothers to take an active role in the moral education of their children.
Today’s children are the architects of tomorrow’s society; therefore, it is everyone’s responsibility to educate them and instil good values in them. As part of the workshop, a session based on the story of Nachiketa was conducted, along with a question–answer programme on general knowledge topics.
The programme was attended by the Ashram’s President Shri Rahas Panda, Trustees Shri Sudhir Panda, Abhed Panigrahi and Surya Panda, who guided the children on how to move forward in life with a positive mindset. Each dtudent was encouraged to narrate a small story with a subtle message of sacrifice and compassion. Sitaram Sadangi and Daya Sagar Badi extended their cooperation.
The organiser of the programme and Trustee of the Ashram, Er. Bibhuti Narayan Majhi, narrated a story on Upamanyu’s devotion to his guru and advised the children to cultivate devotion and dedication towards their teachers.
Eminent educationist Shri Rajendra Panda and Shri Deepak Pujari from Mumbai joined the programme virtually and encouraged the children. The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem and the recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa, followed by the distribution of prasad.
