เคเคจ्เคงเคฐ्เคตाเคฃां เคिเคค्เคฐเคฐเคฅ: เคธिเคฆ्เคงाเคจां เคเคชिเคฒो เคฎुเคจि: || 10.26||
Of all trees, I am the aลvattha(peepal), and of the devarshis I am Nฤrada. Of the Gandharvas I am Chitraratha, and of the perfected ones I am the sage Kapila.
The sanctity and miraculous power of this Aswattha tree is mentioned in the Puranas. The Aswattha is the very embodiment of Vishnu from the roots to the leaves. Its fruits are Hari; under its shade, great souls reside. Those who seek shelter under it are blessed with fulfillment of all their desires. They derive spiritual benefit and divine virtues. Therefore people worship this tree in various ways. It is also used for medicinal purposes.

เคธเคฆाเคจเคจ्เคฆः เคธ เคตिเค्เคेเคฏः เคธ्เคตाเคค्เคฎเคค्เคตेเคจ เคตिเคชเคถ्เคिเคคा ॥ 211 ॥
That ฤtman, which is self-luminous,distinct from the five sheaths (paรฑca-koลa),
the witness of the three states (waking, dream, and deep sleep),unchanging, stainless, and
of the nature of ever-present bliss—that alone is to be known by the wise as one’s own Self.
The Self is not an object to be attained, but the ever-present subject.
Self-luminous: It needs no other light to reveal it.
Beyond the five sheaths: Body, prฤแนa, mind, intellect, and even bliss are not the Self.
Witness of the three states: It remains unchanged through waking, dreaming, and deep sleep.
Actionless and pure: It neither changes nor is tainted by experience.
Ever-blissful: Bliss is its very nature, not a passing feeling.
Liberation is recognition, not acquisition — knowing this Self as “I am That.”
