🌼 GĪTĀ JAYANTI MESSAGE 🌼

The Timeless Light of the Bhagavad Gītā

On this sacred day of Gītā Jayanti, we bow to the divine moment when the Supreme Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa bestowed upon humanity the eternal wisdom of the Bhagavad Gītā — a scripture that has guided seekers across millennia through turmoil, doubt, and the complexities of life.Revealed in the midst of a battlefield, the Gītā teaches that true spirituality is not an escape from life, but the art of living it with clarity, courage, and compassion. It transforms confusion into wisdom, weakness into strength, and action into worship. Its message is universal, practical, and eternally relevant — meant not only for Arjuna, but for every sincere seeker who yearns for meaning, peace, and purpose.

On this auspicious day, let us revisit the essence of the Gītā in brief, distilled through its own sacred verses:

1. Change is inevitable — endure the dualities of life

“मात्रास्पर्शास्तु कौन्तेय शीतोष्णसुखदुःखदाः । आगमापायिनोऽनित्यास्तांस्तितिक्षस्व भारत ॥” (2.14)

Heat–cold, pleasure–pain arise from contact with the world; they come and go. Endure them with steadiness.

2. Do your duty wholeheartedly — surrender outcomes to the Supreme

“कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन । मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि ॥” (2.47)

Your right is to action alone, never to the results.

“मयि सर्वाणि कर्माणि संन्यस्याध्यात्मचेतसा । निराशीर्निर्ममो भूत्वा युध्यस्व विगतज्वरः ॥” (3.30)

Offer all actions to Me; act without anxiety or possessiveness.

3. One consciousness pervades all — cultivate equal vision

“विद्याविनयसम्पन्ने ब्राह्मणे गवि हस्तिनि । शुनि चैव श्वपाके च पण्डिताः समदर्शिनः ॥” (5.18)

The wise see all beings with equality.

“यो मां पश्यति सर्वत्र सर्वं च मयि पश्यति । तस्याहं न प्रणश्यामि स च मे न प्रणश्यति ॥” (6.30)

Seeing the Divine everywhere brings unbroken union.

4. Time is supremely powerful — be humble, live wisely

“कालोऽस्मि लोकक्षयकृत्प्रवृद्धो” (11.32)

I am Time, the destroyer of worlds.

“जन्ममृत्युजराव्याधिदुःखदोषानुदर्शनम्” (13.9)

Reflect on the inevitability of birth, death, old age, and disease.

5. The mind is both friend and enemy — master it

“उद्धरेदात्मनाऽऽत्मानं नाऽऽत्मानमवसादयेत् । आत्मैव ह्यात्मनो बन्धुरात्मैव रिपुरात्मनः ॥” (6.5)

Your own mind can uplift or destroy you — discipline it.

6. Desire, anger, and greed are inner enemies

“त्रिविधं नरकस्येदं द्वारं नाशनमात्मनः । कामः क्रोधस्तथा लोभस्तस्मादेतत्त्रयं त्यजेत् ॥” (16.21)

Desire, anger, and greed are the three gates of ruin — abandon them.

7. Wisdom arises from clarity and detachment

“ध्यायतो विषयान्पुंसः सङ्गस्तेषूपजायते । सङ्गात्संजायते कामः…” (2.62)

Attachment breeds agitation; clarity arises from detachment.

8. The Lord resides in the heart of all — He guides everything

“ईश्वरः सर्वभूतानां हृद्देशेऽर्जुन तिष्ठति । भ्रामयन्सर्वभूतानि यन्त्रारूढानि मायया ॥” (18.61)

The Lord dwells in the heart of all beings and guides them through māyā.

9. Whatever you do, offer it to the Divine

“यत्करोषि यदश्नासि यज्जुहोषि ददासि यत् । यत्तपस्यसि कौन्तेय तत्त कुरुष्व मदर्पणम् ॥” (9.27)

Let every action become a sacred offering.

10. The pure, compassionate, and balanced devotee is dear to the Lord

“अद्वेष्टा सर्वभूतानां मैत्रः करुण एव च…” (12.13)

“समः शत्रौ च मित्रे च तथा मानापमानयोः…” (12.18)

A heart filled with compassion, friendliness, and equanimity is beloved of the Lord.

11. Knowledge destroys ignorance — like light dispels darkness

“यथैधांसि समिद्धोऽग्निर्भस्मसात्कुरुतेऽर्जुन । ज्ञानाग्निः सर्वकर्माणि भस्मसात्कुरुते तथा ॥” (4.37)

The fire of knowledge burns all ignorance and bondage.

12. The ultimate teaching — surrender completely and be free

“सर्वधर्मान् परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज । अहं त्वां सर्वपापेभ्यो मोक्षयिष्यामि मा शुचः ॥” (18.66)

Abandon all limiting identities and take refuge in Me alone; I will liberate you — fear nothing.

Conclusion

As we contemplate these immortal teachings on this holy Gītā Jayanti, let us remember:

  • The Gītā is not merely a scripture :
    • it is a guide for life, a dialogue with our deepest Self,
    • and a lamp that reveals the path to freedom.
  • Its wisdom urges us to:
    • stand firm amidst change,
    • act without ego,
    • master the restless mind,
    • see the Divine in all beings,
    • rise above anger, desire, and greed,
    • offer every action to the Supreme, and
    • walk the path of purity, compassion, and surrender.

May the grace of Śrī Kṛṣṇa illuminate our hearts, strengthen our resolve, purify our minds, and guide our actions. May each day become a step toward inner harmony, fearless living, and spiritual fulfilment.

On this Gītā Jayanti, let us rededicate ourselves to living the Gītā  by not merely reading it, but becoming its very message.

When Integrity Takes a Back Seat: Leadership Fails. In a large 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 the Chief Executive Officer (𝗖𝗘𝗢)—already having five official vehicles, including a Toyota Fortuner and SX4—initiated the acquisition of an additional Honda City car (6th vehicle) for his official use just two years before his retirement. There was no operational need, no functional gap, yet the process moved with astonishing velocity and precision. What followed exposes not just procedural negligence, but a deeper ethical breakdown in leadership. The Incident — Step by Step 1. Unjustified Requirement:   Despite ample mobility resources, the CEO insisted on adding another car to his fleet. 2. Questionable Procurement Process:   The vehicle was leased through a single tender nomination.  On the same day:  STE was issued,  Offer was received,  Technical recommendation was finalized.  Within 48 hours, purchase/Contract order was placed — an efficiency seen only when ...

It is a brief but precious moment in the vast expanse of existence, meant for awakening to the truth of pure consciousness. Yet, the very instruments intended to illuminate this truth—the mind (manas), intellect (buddhi), and inner awareness (antahkarana)—are delicate and prone to distortion. Classical Indian philosophy identifies four fundamental defects that cloud understanding and perpetuate bondage: Bhrama (Delusion), Pramada (Heedlessness), Vipralipsa (Deceit), and Karnapaṭava (Inattention in Hearing). These are not mere abstract concepts; they are living tendencies that shape perception, judgment, and moral orientation. To recognize and remove them is to polish the mirror of the mind, allowing it to reflect the effulgence of the Self (Atman). The...

𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱: Pre-employment medical examinations are a vital safeguard in technically demanding industrial environments, ensuring that only medically fit candidates are inducted. These examinations are governed by detailed procedures designed to uphold transparency, accuracy, and professional integrity. Any deviation from these standards not only compromises the legitimacy of the recruitment process but also exposes the system to allegations of malpractice and weakens public trust. This case study concerns a complaint lodged by a selected candidate for the post of Operator-cum-Technician (OCT) in an integrated steel plant. The candidate alleged that he was declared “temporarily unfit” during the pre-employment medical examination because he refused to pay a bribe of Rs 1 lakh, demanded by the examining doctors. A vigilance inquiry into the Pre-employment Medical Examination Report, related documents, and statements of the medical personnel involved revealed several procedural ...
